Getting treatment for Foot Ulcers

Recently, I have been getting treatment for my ulcers under my both feet. I have been suffering from these ulcers since long. But, I didn’t experience so much trouble with them all through this long period as of recently. So, I had to get them treated by surgery and through medicines.

In the first week of April, I got the surgery for one foot and it took 2 weeks to get fully cured. They removed the ulcers by minor surgery and prescribed some antibiotic medicines and pain relief tablets. Further, I have been advised to wear some special shoes that put lesser pressure to the operating portion of the foot while curing. They are soft sandals with holes (actually they cut and remove a portion of the layers from the shoe according to the size of the ulcer) to accommodate the sensitive part of the foot for curing without inflicting pain or pressing the sensitive portion. You can wear it very easily with full comfort even over the bandaged foot.

I got the second foot surgery on 5th of this month and I am still wearing the bandage as it is not fully healed. But, I am feeling very much relieved from the pain, stress, and inconvenience that I had been experiencing all through those years. I am able to perform all my work including cooking by standing in the kitchen for long durations (presently I am living with my son who is still unmarried and we are only two here at present as my wife passed already 4 years back) by wearing those sandals.

Now, within next week, I hope I will be fit again with my feet. I am sharing this experience as it may help others undergoing such problems.

The problem of alarming increases in population affecting living standards and health

There was an alarming news in the newspaper today (12/07/2015) about the ever increasing population of India and the world. I subscribe to the Deccan Chronicle newspaper which is most popular in our Hyderabad city. It reported that our country’s population is presently 1270 millions which increased by 1.25% over previous year’s figures.

If this trend continues, it reported that by 2050, India’s population will be the largest population exceeding China’s figures.

According to their figures based on 2014 statistics, China ranks first with 1393.7 million, then India with 1267.4 million and third place is USA with only 322.58 millions.

The density figures show how congested India is with 386 people per square km. whereas in US it is only 34 people per square km.

So, it requires control over population and reproduction through suitable measures taken by people. Already people have started late marriages and birth control techniques. But it requires more control in all remotest corners of the country where awareness is not realised by people.

Increase in population and excessive consumption leads to drying up of resources too quickly thereby leaving no means of living for future generations. So it is quite necessary that people should take this problem very seriously and practice remedies to improve living standards and health of coming generations.

Blogging 101 #Day 1- Who I am and Why I am here

Hi, everybody.

I want to introduce myself to all of you as to who I am.

I have been an Accountant throughout my life, professionally, and spent most of the life in preparing Balance Sheets, Cost sheets, and keeping records of the company wherever I worked.

Presently aged 63, I am a retired widower with some time to spare.

I was born to a writer-cum editor-cum artist who was the offspring of a freedom fighter from Andhra Pradesh, India. My original language is Telugu of Andhra Pradesh and English is my second language. My education was done in then Madras city (now Chennai). Even though I was proficient in Accounts and Maths, I am interested in arts, music and books. And, the interesting point is writing seemed to be hidden in my blood all these years until it came bursting out on my retirement.

I first thought of blogging in the year 2010. But was not having tools. I had to wait for more than one year. Finally equipped with a computer, I posted my first article about the unhealthy practice of peeing at public places on Instablogs community site.

Why I am here?

I definitely have some purpose in blogging.

I feel much worried at the problems we are facing in our society due to the polluted atmosphere both physical and mental. We are experiencing increasing corruption, environmental pollution, social issues and health problems and are unable to control situations. So, I want to at least do some blogging to bring awareness to people who might be needing some clues towards better living. I like to see all of you “living better”.

I want to share some knowledge of mine regarding lifestyles, morals, human values and good habits and health issues and anything that can be of use to all of us including me. Because, through blogging, I can get more stimulation and browse through all related material needed for my content and can view great opinions and content on most of those related subjects from experienced people and thereby build up my own knowledge so as to be able to share valuable content with my people.

Smoking is injurious to your health and that of your Dear ones

When you go to enjoy a movie along with your family or friends, you come across this slogan again and again in the movie whenever the characters are depicted to be smoking. But neither you nor your companions bother about this. In the interval you go out, take a round of smoke and return with some snacks for your partner and children. Neither you nor the others, whoever would have just returned back having a smoke, feel even a bit of guilt-consciousness. You simply continue watching the movie and many more glimpses of that unwarranted slogan. The same thing happens when you watch your favorite TV serials on your small screen.

You have become so accustomed to this slogan, that it never strikes to you that it is applicable to you also. You may be feeling it is meant for others, who might be more dangerously smoking. Or else, you may be thinking this way also that since the law is forcing them to flash the slogan, so they are twinkling it again and again, and nothing more than that. So don’t bother about it.

But you never try to understand this. Or to tell otherwise, you do not want to understand or realize this fact as you do not like such advices or morals being taught to you by people around you. You are in false prestige that you are your master and others are trying to degrade you by giving advices.

But, when will you be awakening? After smoking attacks your health? Or after some other one, whom you may be loving, is attacked by it? Do you ever know that a burned cigarette produces thousands of chemicals? When you put it in your mouth and inhale smoke, hundreds of poisonous gases enter into your body and many of them tend to cause cancer in you. Further, you must remember, that whenever you smoke, the smoke released will affect your companions also.It is a clinically proven fact that cigarette smoking or tobacco causes cancer. It may be lung cancer, liver cancer or even kidney cancer.

So, why do you spoil your life and the life of your neighbors with this bad habit of cigarette smoking? Why don’t you leave this bad habit and contribute to the health of others and yours? Why can’t you leave it? Think of your beloved ones and leave smoking for their sake. It may be very hard to leave the habit at once. But, you can leave it step by step. First, you reduce the quantity of cigarettes. If you are consuming six cigarettes a day, try to make it three or four in the first instance. You make up your mind that you have to do this for the sake of your beloved ones. You control yourself and try to divert your attention from it. Make yourself a bit stubborn. Adopt to some other habit like having fruit juice, taking fruits, or some thing healthy with that money. Slowly reduce to two smokes, one smoke and nil.

All that you need here is the will power. The will to leave smoking habit. The will to do something good for your beloved ones. The will to make them happy and healthy and there-by improving your health. So, next time when you go for purchasing a cigarette pack, please do think over the slogan on it, then think about your beloved ones ( some of them might be in the heaven also) and have some care for them. Then, you will definitely be able to leave this bad habit of smoking. Nothing is hard, if you have the will power and a sense of feeling for your beloved ones.
